Ownership, explained
A managed website subscription — not a purchase.
Sites by WestWick retains ownership of the website design, code and underlying implementation, subject to any third-party licences and the service agreement. While your subscription is active, you have a contractual right to use the website. Monthly payments are not instalments, and this is not a rent-to-own arrangement — paying monthly does not transfer the website’s code or design to you.
What stays yours
- Your registered domain name — registered in your name wherever possible
- Your email account and its data, subject to the email provider’s terms
- Your company name, logos and existing branding
- Photographs, text and original content you supply
- Your business information and customer data
Your email is set up so you can keep access or move your mailbox independently of the website subscription, subject to the provider’s technical arrangements.

Subscription terms
Contract length, notice period, what happens to the website after cancellation, data export, any optional website buyout, the routine-update allowance and turnaround times, domain and third-party email costs, and VAT are set out in our service agreement. The full terms will be published here and confirmed with you before you order. Your domain and email arrangements are always kept separate from the website itself.
